All light (reflections, electrical, even the stars and sun) has disappeared around the world, only to return moments later. As this begins to occur with increasing frequency, fear starts to spread across the planet. In the darkness, cars crash, plants won't grow, and protests breakout everywhere. It's not little green men, nor a virus, and it's not of human origin. Though frightening, media, politicians, military, and clergy attempt to capitalize on the phenomenon for their own gain. It isn't until Adam Faraday of the research group Aura/Sonos determines what is happening - light has become sentient and is attempting to communicate with us. That's just the beginning as it's discovered that Light is the manifestation of all human consciousness and it's got something on its mind.

The Light Inerrant is the latest book by Bruce Meisterman. A novel of science/speculative fiction, it portrays the world being subjected to recurring periods of darkness while addressing the divides within our cultures, and how some elements of society would take advantage of light’s disappearance for their own gain. What they learn is far more powerful than anyone could have imagined.

His previous books include the fictional tale of Jacob Will in A Coward's Guide to Living and Arn? Narn., a photo-documentary about vanishing rural life in Newfoundland. Bruce has also been a contributor to Tennessee 24/7, Giving Back, and Gateway to Aero-Science. In 2012, his book, Arn? Narn. was named the English magazine Fishing Book Reviews Book of the Month in November 2012. He was also a featured author at the Southern Festival of Books and a two-time panelist at the Killer Nashville Writers Conference. His photography has been featured in such publications as the New York Times, New Beauty magazine, Yankee magazine, Delaware Today, and The Sun magazine. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries, collections, and museums. Moving from photography to writing was not much of a jump as Bruce was also an award-winning copywriter in advertising. One benefit of that was the realization that a laptop was a lot lighter than a bagful of cameras. But it was his photography that led to the concept of The Light Inerrant. Currently, Bruce resides in Memphis, Tennessee.
