ABOUT THE BOOK:
This book will give the reader tips and tools to have the confidence and courage to get in and stay in the corporate political game. You'll find tactics, real world and work examples that are relevant and will help you navigate the corporate environment.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: 

Cheryl Bevelle-Orange is Managing Director for the Retail Solutions IT organization, where she oversees business and financial management, internal and external reporting, compliance, culture, Agile transformation, application development, customer integration support, and communications.

In her 25 year career, Cheryl has lead organizations to great success within the office and the community. Cheryl, as one of the founding members of the FedEx African American Committee, engaged influential speakers such as Dr. Susan Taylor, Donna Brazile, and Dr. Terrence Roberts, to enlighten and educate audiences within the FedEx corporation on diversity issues. Outside of her professional duties with FedEx, Orange’s dedication to working in the community is focused on the homeless, the American Heart Association’s STEM program, and mentoring the next generation of leaders by working with students in middle and high school programs.

Fueled by her distinctive expertise and passion, Cheryl has been a speaker at numerous venues around the US, including National Black MBA Harvard Review, Alpha Kappa Alpha National Boule, Black Enterprise conferences, Working Mother Media Town Hall Minorities in Corporate America conference, and InnoTech Dallas conference. Cheryl published a book, The Courage to Continue: Navigating Your Corporate Journey, in 2022.

Cheryl’s work has been recognized with awards such as the Technology All Star Award, Working Mother Media Award, Emerging Young Leader Award, Memphis Mayor’s Mentoring Award, the FedEx 5 Star Award, the 2018 Dallas Business Journal Women in Technology Award, the Dallas CEO Magazine 2018 500 most powerful leaders in the DFW area, the 2020 Jacksonville State University Alumna of the year award, and the 2020 Ones to Watch award.

Prior to joining FedEx, Cheryl served in several roles for Fortune 500 companies including PepsiCo and Army Air Force Exchange (AAFES). Cheryl received a dual undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems and Marketing from Jacksonville State University and her Executive MBA from Christian Brothers University.
