A lifelong Memphian and Midtowner, JP grew up begging his parents to take him all the way to East Memphis to Davis Kidd to shop for books and videos, and for the blue cheese tomato soup at Brontë. Eventually it would become his destination for all things Harry Potter and midnight release parties. It was no surprise to his parents that he chose to major in English Literature nor was it a surprise when he landed his first job at the place that launched his love of all things lit. In his free time JP enjoys watching classic films (e.g., Hitchcock, Bergman, and Kubrick), trying new coffees, learning to make craft cocktails, smoking a nice cigar with his father, and listening to the latest addition to his record collection.
Who wouldn’t want to work in a bookstore that always has hot coffee and cocktails based on your favorite book?
